Understatus

Being understatus is the formal exaggeration of limited recognition that the item has no qualification to even have a 'status' in the community, for example, Somaliland. There are many variations on the term 'understatus' based on the situation.
Origins

Understatusment, the verbal expression of 'understatus', started to occur since the late 1800s, and only became prominent during the American Civil War. The Confederate States of America was, at the time, considered understatus and had limited recognition by anyone, not counting the knowledge of such a state existing.
Understatus items were mostly countries, such as the short-lived Yugoslav republic in the early 1900s. It started to take the form of 'underrated' for known celebrities since the boom of television in the late 1950s. The different between underrated and understatus is that, underrated items still have recognition but are not fairly recognized, while understatus simply has almost no recognition at all and no level of quality. Underquality items do differ, taking in to account that understatus basically refers to an item's recognition, and that underquality refers to the quality.

Things that are understatus are usually both extremely underrated and have extremely limited recognition. Not many people would have knowledge of this thing. For example, Somaliland.
Certain items such as an aglet, however, are not of understatus. They simply have little knowledge of, but are not underrated and still used everyday without it in particular in mind.
Therefore, to conclude, things that are understatus must be:
- Extremely underrated
- Limited recognition
- Little knowledge of
- Considered inexistent.
UnderstonamentEdit
Understonament is an item that is stoned and understatus. An example would be colloquial adjustments to international society, which has never been considered part of society in any way as it is negative.
